Mike met his wife at Eastern Washington University and they have been together for over 34 years. They both moved to Spokane after Mike's graduation in 1983. Mike played football and following in his father's footsteps also ran track at Eastern. While not as fast as in his younger days, he is still involved with his Alma Mater and is a passionate Eagle fan. Scuba diving is his favorite hobby as he gets to see the world from above and below the surface.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification and designation CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, which it awards to individuals who successfully pass the CFP Boards initial educational, experience, and testing requirements while also continuing to maintain their annual educational requirements.

Jon and his wife Raechel have been married for over 21 years. Raechel is a school counselor at Spokane Public Schools and their daughter attends Northwest Christian High School. Jon Grew up in the Spokane area and has lived in Eastern Washington his entire life. In his free time Jon is involved with Financial Peace University, volunteers with youth at Fourth Memorial Church and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Jon enjoys the outdoors, including; camping, boating, and golf.

My firm is committed to providing simple, common sense education and empowerment, seeking to give hope to everyone, regardless of their age or income. We provide an easy-to-understand and ethical approach for solving the investing and financial planning challenges of today's marketplace.

Cindy is the office manager for Balderson and Hebert, LLC. She is also the personal administrative assistant for Mike Balderson. Cindy has been an integral part of the company since it was founded in 1997 by her husband, Steve Hebert, along with Mike Balderson.

Cindy earned her Life and Health Insurance license in 1995. She manages the office budget and is responsible for the FINRA and SEC compliance requirements and monitoring. She also provides the administrative support for the firm's Group Medical book of business.

Erica joined the team in January 2006. She has over 31 years experience in the insurance industry, and in 2008 earned her Property and Casualty Insurance license. Erica is Balderson and Hebert's Customer Service representative for both the Property and Casualty division, and the individual client Life and Disability lines. She is also the Receptionist and Client Relationship manager for the office. She coordinates the advisors' schedules and is the first contact for the firm's clients.

Erica first met her husband in Spokane at a previous employer. They connected in later years, and have been married for over 15 years. Erica enjoys cooking and traveling to fun destinations with her husband. The two of them also love animals, and support local pet shelters.

Jesse, a native of the Washington Olympic Penninsula, is responsible for the firm's marketing and online presence. He takes care of Balderson & Hebert's social media, website, graphic design, advertising, marketing, and also offers additional administrative support to the team.

Jesse, along with his wife, 2 kids, and pets recently moved away from his Spokane area family and friends to the East Coast, near Philadelphia, PA. He continues to work with the team at Balderson and Hebert from afar, and hopes to return to Spokane someday. Jesse's passions are drawing, animation, and being creative. He loves kayaking, hiking, camping, movies, and animal watching with his family in his spare time.

Balderson & Hebert, LLC was established in 1997 when Michael W. Balderson and Steven W. Hebert combined their practices to form an independent financial planning firm to provide unbiased advice for our clients. We chose to be an independent firm of advisers so our clients would always know their interests come first.

We believe that the process of Financial Planning is not a “once and done“ experience in which the client receives a binder with a bunch of numbers in it, and are told to take it home and just follow the recommendations. We understand that Financial Plans are made for human beings, and being human, our circumstances can change every year. Therefore, we believe in providing annual updates to your financial plan. We will also spend several meetings analyzing our client's goals and resources before we make any initial recommendations.

Taking the time to develop the initial plan is just the beginning of our relationship with our clients. We don't send you adrift to fend for yourself. Instead we conduct annual meetings to make sure you are on course and suggest recommendations as your situation changes. We stand side by side with our clients and expect to serve them for their entire life.
